HUMAN RIGHTS

pablo 2024, pablo for president
I didn’t have a choice when they took my testicles, but I believe it is every human’s right to make any and all decisions about their bodies, to include personal health care. Less time should be spent regulating people’s personal decisions, especially about their bodies, and more efforts focused on improving the behavioral health system and reforming legislation which could make housing more affordable and accessible.

FIGHT CORPORATE GREED

  • Pablo wants to work towards real change surrounding economic policies which favor Wall Street and corporate CEOs

  • There is a need for increased accountability in corporations and capital markets

  • In 2022, CEOs of S&P 500 companies received, on average, $16.7 million in total compensation. This was the second-highest level of CEO pay in history for S&P 500 Index companies.

HEALTH EQUITY & ACCESS

FACTS

Americans spend far more on health than any other country in the world, yet the life expectancy of the US population is shorter than in other rich countries who spend far less. (Our World in Data, 2020)

One example of this statistic is shared here: In 2019, the life expectancy of the Native American population in the United States was already the lowest of any racial/ethnic group, at 75 years for women and 68.6 for men. By 2021, those numbers had slipped to 70.4 for women and just under 64 for men. (CU Boulder, 2022)

“If we are ever going to get to equity, we have to walk through truth, even when it’s unpleasant. Even when it makes us uncomfortable.”

(Dr. Warne, CO-Director, Center for Indigenous Health)
